What Can I Contribute?
1 Peter 4:10
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.
It is very easy to look at the church and notice what is missing: more love, more fellowship, more commitment, more prayer, more closeness… And many of those things are probably true.
But perhaps today the Lord wants to ask us a different question:
What can I do to help change some of that?
The church is not merely what we receive on Sundays. We are the church. So when fellowship is lacking, we can reach out to someone; when someone is going through a difficult time, we can call; when prayer is lacking, we can begin to pray; when there is a need for service, we can ask ourselves where we can be useful.
We cannot change everything, but all of us can do something.
And many times, God begins great changes when someone stops thinking, “Someone should do something,” and starts asking:
“Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Today may be a good day to take a small step: call someone, reconcile with someone, take an interest in a brother or sister, pray together, serve, or simply reach out to someone who has needed companionship for some time.
A church changes when each one of us first allows God to change our own heart.

Lord, help me not to limit myself to seeing what is missing. Show me where I can love, serve, support others, and take part in what You want to do in Your church in Morón. Amen.
