You Don’t Need to Have It All Figured Out

Proverbs 19:21
There are many thoughts in a person’s heart, but the Lord’s counsel will prevail.

Today, August 19, we are looking at a verse from Proverbs 19:

«There are many thoughts in a person’s heart, but the Lord’s counsel will prevail.» — Proverbs 19:21

This verse reminds us that it is normal to have many plans, doubts, projects, and concerns. Thinking and planning are not wrong. The problem arises when we believe we need to control everything.

The context of Proverbs 19 speaks about acting prudently, not rushing, listening to advice, and learning to live wisely. And in the midst of it all, this truth emerges: our plans may change, but the Lord’s purpose remains.

Practical application

Today, ask yourself:

What is my responsibility, and what things are beyond my control?

Responsibly do what is in your hands, and entrust the rest to the Lord.

You don’t need to know the whole way ahead. You only need to take the next step well.

“I have many things on my mind, but I don’t need to have everything figured out. I will do what is my responsibility and trust that the Lord continues to guide my path.”
